On September 26th, 2019, the Agritrade Ukraine project and the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a joint Memorandum on the development and deepening of further cooperation between the partners.

The joint work of the project and the Chamber in support of export activity of Ukrainian agricultural enterprises began during the first project phase in 2017 with the joint Ukrainian-German Food Forum.

And with the signing of the Memorandum, the parties outlined priorities for the near future, including:

  • To promote the development of support system for agricultural and food exporters in the CCI system in Ukraine
  • Stimulate export capacity of Ukrainian agricultural and food companies
  • Promote sustainable support tools for agricultural and food exporters.

Within the framework of the mentioned tasks, ATU and UCCI will conduct practical trainings both for export-oriented producers and processors, as well as for export consultants of UCCI and regional CCIs; joint exhibitions and information events will be organized to improve the presentation of Ukrainian producers, and an analysis will be conducted to identify the level of export support and services for Ukrainian exporters.

“We are very pleased to officially consolidate our cooperation with the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The successful experience of working together in recent years only once again confirms the positive development of German-Ukrainian cooperation in the field of export support. The analysis of export support and services for agricultural exporters has already started and will allow to create long-term structures for German-Ukrainian trade, ”said Andre Pilling, Team Leader Agritrade Ukraine.
