On May 2, 2020, as part of an online conference the project managers of the BMEL Bilateral Cooperation Program (BKP) met with Taras Vysotsky the Deputy Minister of Economic, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine.

 Hermann Intermann, Agricultural Attaché of the German Embassy in Kyiv, in his greeting noted some new aspects in this area, including the appointment of a new Minister of Economy, the adoption of a law on the land market, the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Agritrade Ukraine presented the current activities of the project and raised the issue of payment deadlines for agricultural trade in Ukraine. Which in turn may have an impact on trade relations between Germany and Ukraine. Andre Pilling, the project leader also stressed his readiness to cooperate with the Ministry in establishing associations of producers  and further geographical indications developing.
