On June 1st, 2017, took place a conference "Special Aspects of the Agrisultural Export to the EU" within the framework of the Export Development Council at the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, with the support of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine in cooperation with the German-Ukrainian project "Agritrade Ukraine" and the Dnipropetrovsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The conference was attended by the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine for European Integration Olga Trofimtseva, First Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Oleg Kuzhman, International Expert Karl Maier and Project Leader "Agritrade Ukraine", André Pilling, national experts Mariia Didukh (Agriatrde) and Maria Makhnovets. Among the participants of the event were representatives of small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises, Dnipropetrovsk the Chamber of Commerce and the Export Development Board.

The main topics discussed during the conference were the regional peculiarities of the organization of export activities in the Dnipropetrovsk region, which were reported by Vitaliy Lytvyn, Advisor to the Head of the Regional State Administration and Nina Alekhnovych, the first Vice-President of the Dnipropetrovsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Expert Maria Didukh, in her turn, highlighted the general conditions of trade in agri-food products with the countries of the European Union within the Free Trade Area.

Practical advice for exporters at the event was presented by André Pilling, who provided an overview of the European Union market and the structures of food sales in the European markets, and Karl Mayer, who spoke about the peculiarities of cooperation with German trading networks.

Expert Maria Makhnovets was invited to cover the current issue of organic produce export with information on current trends in organic product exports to the European Union markets and practical export recommendations.

In turn, at the conclusion of the conference, Olga Trofimtseva emphasized the positive tendency in the development of export relations between Ukraine and the EU and emphasized the need to adapt the existing legislation and the approach of producers to the export procedure to the requirements of the EU for further growth of export potential.
